A mom's journey

I would love to share my favourite Toyota moments since becoming a mother.

We had a FJ Cruiser when my son was born, and we went on so many adventures. 

In this car, my babe listened to his first songs, went on his first outings, and got to know the sound of a roaring V6. We drove him home from the hospital in this car. 



One day I stopped at a red light and heard him giggling – he was now mobile enough to sneak a peek at me from in his car seat and he loved it. 
We went on a trip with friends to Bloedkoppies and had a braai somewhere in a cave - this was his first real offroad, 4x4 outing and he enjoyed it so much. We changed diapers in the back of the car and went with the flow. 

Although cars are just worldly possessions, this is the one I miss often because of all the memories and moments it made possible. 

We now own a Toyota Auris which is a great small family car for town driving, and in this car my son got his first forward-facing car seat and learned how to operate the windows on his own. 

One of our favourite things is to stop in front of the garage and have him sit on my lap to ‘help’ me park the car. 



I just love the way my Toyota memories line up, one after the other.
