It’s all in the Colour
It’s all in the Colour
If I receive 5 cents for every time I mention the following, I would be a wealthy man:“The use of colour in the patio/garden area, is one of the primary reasons one pool area is featured in a magazine, and the other one, NOT”.

Last week I met with a client in Kleine Kuppe. They recently bought a townhouse and are determined to make the patio area look smashing… I will post pictures later in the year on how this area turned out.
What we did (and this was the client’s idea) was to actually cut plastic sheeting the size of the pool and move this around until we found the perfect position for the sun loungers, palm tree pots etc. The client opted for a smaller, less expensive pool. With all the colours and in-depth thinking going into this area, I am 100% sure we are going to end up with a magazine front-page area.

With a pool, the one colour we always have is blue (unless you neglect it, then it will be green).
Very important is, the mosaic to be used inside the pool. Lic Pools has received new product ranges which are all stunning. Custom copings made to order in Cape Town reach our warehouse within 14 days. We are also working closely with a local supplier who really enjoys making beautiful copings for clients. Slate stone, natural stone are all options and there is more.

So the next question is, what to place alongside the copings. One can go the interlock way or spice things up with beautiful pebbles and or non-slip tiles which are cheaper than some of the other alternatives.
Bottom line, you have to play with colour: Water is blue, plants are green, the shade of light at night can be ice white or yellow.

I can enthuse for hours... Best suggestion is to pop in at Lic Pool for a look around. Then let’s play with colours at your house to get that designer area completed.
You are welcome to come and say Hi at Lic and we will guide you. This is what I enjoy and seeing a beautiful end product is the best.
