Take Stock of your Own

Take Stock of your Own

Liewe Leser

Dear Reader

When we are youngsters, some of us dream of one day living in a castle or a palace. As the years roll on, reality kicks in and we come to realise that to simply have a sturdy roof over the head is a great privilege.

To rent or to buy? There will always be a myriad of opinions on this. Some reckon complexes are the in thing, others prefer flats, the next firmly believes detached dwellings are the answer. But the growing question remains: ShouId I buy or rent?
Perhaps we should follow the advice of financial guru Suze Orman: "Sometimes it makes sense to own a home and sometimes, depending on where you live, it makes sense to simply rent." Take stock of your own and your loved ones’ finances and then do what is best for YOU in YOUR circumstances.

And no matter whether you rent or own property, it remains important to spend money on things that bring value to your life and save the rest of your money to secure your financial future:
*Create a budget and keep a strict watch on your expenses.
*Avoid unnecessary debt; clear away debts as soon as possible.
*Save for those rainy days when you will really need the money.

KEEP IN MIND:
"Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked." (Psalm 37:16).
