Autonomous Age

Autonomous Age

Liewe Leser

Carpe Diem. Gryp die dag!

Dear Reader

Most definitely 2020 impacted each and every one of us on a personal level. For some there were positive developments, but without a doubt some individuals and companies were faced with the bitter pill of collapse. Some people could haul themselves up after the slump, like rising from the ashes, and rediscover their purpose. Companies needed to adapt and speedily embrace the coming of the Autonomous Age – an era not only of artificial intelligence, but of autonomous intelligent machines.

Now, as we near the end of this exhausting year, we look back with astonishment at the power wielded over economies by the media and social networks. We also look back with admiration athow nature is reclaiming its role in certain cities when pollution and human interference are curbed by lockdowns. The question on all of our lips: What awaits us in 2021? In my opinion, each of us should be geared for any possible scenario. That’s why we dedicate this edition to sustainability. Are you, your company and your relationships sustainable as we round off 2020 and gear up to greet 2021? Instead of collapsing and giving up, we now, more than ever before, need to ensure that we hold our own at a certain level. What interesting times!

I greet 2020 with a smile and WELCOME 2021. Carpe Diem. Seize the day!

Our Theme: Sustainability

Sustainability is the ability to exist constantly.

In the 21st century, it refers generally to the capacity for the biosphere and human civilization to co-exist.
It is also defined as the process of people maintaining change in a homeostasis balanced environment, in which the exploitation of resources, the direction of investments, the orientation of technological development, and institutional change are all in harmony and enhance both current and future potential to meet human needs and aspirations.
