Ai, ‘n Mens kan soms so bang wees… en dan hou ons so styf vas aan dinge wat ons lankal moes laat gaan het.

Heel dikwels bring ons hierdie tendens ook in ons huise in. Te bang om ouma se meubels van 30 jaar gelede af te skuur en oor te verf, te bang om die verfblik te gaan haal en die muur potblou te verf. Te bang vir wat die mense gaan sê as die hele muur vol plakpapier is.
So laat ‘n mens jou lei deur wat ander (dalk) gaan dink… So gaan die lewe en die kanse en geleenthede by ons verby… Dalk is dit tyd om dapper en gewaagd te raak – ook as dit kom by ons interieur- veranderings.

Hierdie jaar is die geleentheid om onbeskaamd en onbeskroomd te wees – om nie terug te staan nie, maar om iets gewaagds te doen.

Kry daardie ornament wat die oog vang, trek die sofa oor in geometriese lap en skuif hom daar waar almal dit sien, bring die groot plant in die leefarea in.
Die tyd is nou! Waag voor die kans by jou verbygaan en gee jou kreatiwiteit vrye teuels.

Dear Reader

Sometimes we can be so timid ... we tend to cling fiercely to things/ideas we should have abandoned long ago! More often than not we allow this
tendency a foothold in our homes as well.

We hesitate to sandpaper and repaint Grandma’s 30-year old furniture, to lay hold of some paint and paint the wall bright blue; too anxious about what people might say if the wall is covered in wall paper!
Thus we allow ourselves to be led by what others might (perhaps) think. And so life, opportunities, and chances pass us by.
Maybe the time has come for us to be braver and more challenging – also in matters of interior alterations.

This year affords us the chance to become unashamedly bold – not to hold back, but to dare!

Get hold of that eye catching ornament, cover the sofa in material with a geometrical design and place it where no one can miss it; move that big pot plant into the living area.
The time is now! Be daring before another opportunity is lost! Give your creativity a free reign!
