Blessed Peace
Blessed Peace
Liewe Leser
Gekanselleerde funksies. Salarisverminderings. Alles dinge wat ons kalmte steel. Hierdie versteurings is blykbaar ons nuwe normaal. Of so sê hulle.
Dear Reader
Expect the unexpected. Or perhaps, these days, expect the worst?A longer lockdown. Another curfew. Cancelled gatherings. Salary reductions. All these steal our peace. These disruptions appear to be our new normal, or so they say. Nonsense, I say. My normal is exactly the opposite. We want peace, tranquillity and calm. We ant unity and harmony. We need our loved ones up close and intimate. That said, it is fitting that this edition focuses on the Dulux Colour of the Year – Tranquil Dawn. It depicts that gentle grey-green shade of the landscape against the early sky. To us it represents the feelings we all yearn for – that expansive sense of blessed peace brought on by sunrise after the first Spring rain. Join us and strive for YOUR moment of tranquillity. Grab a paint brush or plant that flower. Let us greet the new day with a sense of hopeful expectation and may we make our normal something special.
May you, in the dusk of 2020, have many days brimming with breath-taking sunrises that fill you with hope and tranquillity.
KEEP IN MIND:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4) (NIV).
