Make a bird feeder using old plates
Make a bird feeder using old plates
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:- Old bowls or plates
- Mosaic tiles or decorative pebbles (optional)
- Wooden tray or mould
- Cement
- Stucco (optional)
- Sealer (optional)
Step 1
Mix the cement with water and some sand and cover the base of the tray/mould. Add your bowls or plates and smooth the surface.
Step 2
Press some mosaic tiles or pebbles into the cement for decoration.
Step 3
Let it dry for 24 hours. You will see the cement shrinks and pulls away from the side of your tray/mould. You can now easily remove your creation from the mould.
Step 4
You can either paint it or give it a different finish with Stucco (I used the colour Chocolate) and a sealer suitable for outdoor use.
Step 5
Secure your bird feeder in a cosy spot in your garden where you can enjoy your garden friends throughout the day.
