Michaella's journey with Toyota

"As I walked into the beautiful show room, the receptionist welcomed me warmly. This was March 2021, when the Covid pandemic was hitting the entire world; but this became a blessing to me as the draw date of the competition took place on my birthday.



I gladly told the sales person that I needed a double cab. As I crossed over my eyes, at the middle of the door, stood one of the luxurious 2,7 VVTI double cabs in white. Fascinated by this big toy, I was soon sitting behind the wheel. “What a beautiful machine,” I said to myself, gazing around the show room and deciding that there was nothing more gorgeous than this one. Beaming, I nodded my head. The sales person told me they would add nice rims and a canopy for me. I left the garage in awe as I knew my story had just begun with Indongo Toyota.

When at last that call came to collect my car, I was shivering, as I couldn’t imagine myself behind those wheels. Beautiful shining rims - Wah! I thought it was a dream. The salesman took the black cloth off the car, I stepped inside as they began to take pictures.

Everyone looked and waved at the car as it crossed those green robots, facing towards Katutura. Other drivers were waving at me as the car was sparkling with those eye-catching rims. At the robots in Sam Nujoma drive, going to Otjomuise, one gentleman lowered his window, waved at me.”Is that a new car, I like your rims.”

Much later, I made my way to a village in Botswana. It crossed bumpy roads and waters with ease. The white double cab drove in the sandy soil, never disappointing me. Everyone shared my delight. It carried heavy loads like firewood and soil – such a strong car that I do not regret choosing.
