No matter where you live in Namibia, you would all agree that a good internet connection is part of what pleases us. That is why we decided to give you some feedback from clients who installed the MTC Spectra Home and the experience they have with it.

We are a very close-knit family, with a good understanding of technology. We reside in Windhoek in the suburb Hochland Park after a five-year stay in the northern parts of Namibia at Ongwediva.



What or who influenced your decision to sign up for MTC Spectra Home?
It was in the north that we heard about the Spectra Home service by MTC. While looking for a suitable, secure, and stable internet connection we heard of Spectra Home. A close friend told us about it, and we decided to give it a go.

What was your experience before you had MTC Spectra Home?
Before the Spectra Home we had interruptions from time to time and as soon as it rained there was no connection.

What are your top four requirements for having a good internet connection?
We require a good and stable internet connection for work purposes. I am working from home and our main needs are work-related, school research, streaming, DStv and YouTube.

What was the process involved in getting MTC’s Spectra Home?
We worked with Joe, the agent in the north at the time and he was totally awesome. We waited for a week to have our equipment delivered and installed.

At the end of this contract would you sign up again? With the same package?
I would sign up for Spectra Home again when our current contract comes to an end, I might upgrade but will sign up again.

Do you check your incoming and outgoing Mbps and are they as expected?
My husband checks the Mbps regularly and sometimes it is more than what we signed up for.

During this whole process, what were the pros and cons for you?
To date there have been no drawbacks – our service was down about a week ago but before we even noticed it we got a message to apologize and a promise that they are working on it. It was restored in record time.

Would you recommend this service to others?
I am in the process of convincing my employers to switch to Spectra Home as we experience quite a lot of down time from the current service used in the office and that makes communication a bit difficult as I am always up and must wait for them to eventually have their system checked.
