Go wild with a wooden box
Supplies- Paintbrush Paint (Dulux PVA; Wild Wonder)
- Wooden box
- Supergrip (Dulux) Sealer (I used Plascon Glaze Coat)
- Water decal/sticker (mine is from Tjoko Paints)
- Felt circles (optional)
Step 1
Remove any dirt from the wooden box with a damp cloth. My box is several years old, so I had to sand it a little too. Apply a coat of Supergrip and let it dry completely (about 4 hours).
Step 2
Apply 2 coats of Dulux paint – let it dry completely in between layers.
Step 3
I added some felt circles (available from hardware stores) to protect the base from scratching.
Step 4
Apply the sticker according to the manufacturer’s directions. *Cut around the sticker, leaving a small border. Let it soak in water until it separates from the backing. Place it on the surface and remove any bubbles with your wet fingers. Let it dry overnight and seal it with 2 coats.
Final
Now your box is ready to hold all your craft materials or use it as a memory box!
