Refresh Restyle - Feb/March '23
The project
A new lodge requested a safari-theme design with a difference. How to approach this from a fresh angle? What better way to do so, than by bringing in the HouseFinder theme of this issue – Closer to nature.
With our given space, we decided to incorporate two styles. Firstly, Japandi – the style that integrates natural and minimalist aspects while creating a pleasant and comforting ambiance.
The second style is one I like to call modern-safari-boldness.
Solution

To enhance the feel of nature, we added natural baskets and a herringbone wooden floor.
The burnt orange furniture and a funky-looking lamp made from a branch, add to the trendy feel.
The Japandi interior style is emphasized with the use of clean lines, white and cream colours and wooden finishes. Note the wooden finishes of the dressing table and work-space areas, along with creams and whites, that balance out the boldness of the other parts of the room.
