Initially when you visit Nictus Giga and view the range of Einhell products, the first thought that goes through your mind is: “Goodness, are those beautiful tools really meant to work hard?” And that’s exactly what Martin and I thought when we looked at the wide range of Einhell products a few months ago.

The red-and-black is simply striking! And then I wondered: “Is this a good product… or will my better half be drilling and suddenly there will be only smoke?”

But wait: let’s start at the beginning.

Einhell is seen overseas as a very popular range of Do-It-Yourself tools for home use and includes cutting tools, drills, saws, and many more.

All products are sourced from Germany and are made to last. With their headquarters in Landau, the Einhell team is constantly working to expand their wireless battery-rechargeable range of tools. In addition, they place great emphasis on endurance, work ability and safety.

Spouse Martin has used his cordless, brushless Einhell TE-CD 18-volt drill repeatedly over the past few months. (Provided our 17-year-old son does not decide it’s his drill and Martin has to struggle with the old drill - cord and all!)

Looking back on the experience, Martin said: “For me, the only disadvantage of the Einhell products is that you have to charge the battery with a battery charger, something you have to get used to. But the big advantage makes up for it: you can drill or saw anywhere where there is no power point. However, this problem can be quickly overcome by purchasing a second and even a third battery. Another advantage is that the battery can be used with any other Einhell product, so I just switch it between my drill and angle grinder. ”

“I have experienced that the brushless motor gives more power than my previous cordless drill (other make) and where this can be clearly seen is when I use the hammer drill function. Also, the absence of brushes will be of great benefit to people who use such tools a lot - there are no brushes that can become worn.”

Martin also bought the Einhell TE-AG 18-volt cordless angle grinder, and it is handy to quickly grind something in a remote place. “The only disadvantage is that it is not a high-performance machine. Once it works hard, it will turn off to save the battery. In general, I give the cordless drill five stars and the cordless angle grinder four stars.
