It is located in the best farming area in Namibia with an official carrying capacity of 1 cattle-unit of 450 kg per 8 ha. Bush-encroachment is a major problem in Namibia but this property has naturally no problem in this regard, and large areas on both farms have been cleared of excess bush. Therefore, the veldtype can be described as open Kalahari savanna and the grazing is in excellent condition, consisting of perennial grass species with blinkaar-grass as the dominant grass species. The dominant bush species are camelthorn trees and Vaalbos (Targonanthus camphoratus) which is an edible bush species. Because of the sandy soil and the flat topography, there is virtually no runoff during the rainy season resulting in effective use of the rainfall which is on average 480 mm per annum. The property has been well-developed as a cattle farm with 48 internal camps. Water is shallow, strong and very tasty. There are 11 boreholes equipped with windmills or solar pumps.
