Glue 2 pieces together at a time and set aside to dry completely.

Step 4

Now glue all the pieces together to form the pot stand.
Let it dry.

Step 5

Once it is dry, paint the top and sides. Use a small brush to paint in between the smaller spaces. Once dry, paint a second layer. Add 2 layers of paint on the bottom and let dry.

Step 6

Finish off with a layer of podge or glaze coat. If you want to use it as a table protector, coat it with heat-resistant varnish.

Step 7

Plan the position of the beads to carry the weight of a pot. Remember one in the centre. Glue them to the bottom. Paint them or leave them as is for a natural look.

Final

Once dry, place your pot stand on its ‘feet’ and glue some embellishments around the outer edge.
