Osona Village is home to residents from diverse backgrounds, making it a vibrant melting pot of cultures and traditions. This diversity enriches the social fabric of the community and promotes mutual understanding and respect among neighbours. While the village continues to grow and develop, one important improvement would greatly benefit the community. I would encourage the Osona Village Management Company to engage the Government of Namibia to explore the establishment of a public school in or near the village. With the increasing number of families settling in Osona, such a facility would greatly support the educational needs of the community. Overall, my experience in Osona Village has been truly amazing, offering the perfect balance between the demands of city life and the tranquillity of a welcoming home environment.A peaceful retreat from the cityLiving well in Osona VillageIn 2019, I made the decision to relocate to Osona Village and it has proven to be one of the most rewarding decisions for our family. Working in Windhoek often means navigating the demands and pace of a busy capital city. However, returning home to Osona after a long day is always a refreshing and energizing experience. What makes Osona Village truly special is its peaceful and closeknit community atmosphere. The village offers a quiet and relatively safe environment where families can enjoy a good quality of life. One of the most comforting aspects for parents is the freedom children have to move around the neighbourhood, playing with friends and enjoying outdoor activities. This sense of safety and openness fosters a strong spirit of community among residents. The village is also pet-friendly, which adds to its warm and welcoming character. Many households keep pets and the open surroundings make it an ideal place for them to walk their dogs. Another notable feature of Osona is its highly fertile soil. As a result, many residents have taken up backyard gardening. These gardens not only provide fresh produce for households but also encourage sustainable living and interaction among neighbours who share gardening experiences and ideas.
